First Location Photoshoot w/ my son Cameron

Image
This is the first on location photo shoot for my son Cameron. These photos will be used for his 1 year old birthday invitations. The first location is at Red Wing Park in Virginia Beach. Despite it being a little chilly in the shade, it was a beautiful bright sunny day and Cameron was enjoying being in front of the camera. This photo shoot was very simple, I used a 400 watt Alien Bee light with a sliver dish and a 30 degree grid plate attached inside of it. I used the sunlight shining through the trees has my hairlight. Enjoy the photos and thanks for looking. Congratulations to Tiffany & Chris

Image
Congratulations to Tiffany & Chris on their soon to come bundle of joy, baby girl Aubrey! Tiffany is my Lifetouch office manger at work and this was a honor to share this moment with her, her fiance and her family. Tiffany's due date is right around the corner so before Aubrey's arrival we decide to do some special photos at the beach. Thank you again Tiffany and Chris, I can not wait to see this beautiful little girl.

The Reveal: It's a GIRL!

Image
Congratulations to Aylin and Tarkan on their soon to be new arrival, baby girl. Her name is Zaynah. This was my first reveal photo shoot, and it turned out GREAT! This photo shoot was used with a 580 Ex II mounted on top of my camera with a diffuser. These were photographed during sunset in their front yard. I sat my camera (Canon 60D) on my tripod. My camera settings were the following: ISO 400, f 5.6, 1/125-1/200 of sec-shutter speed). Flash settings ETTL mode 0. I touched it up in Lightroom 3 and add the text with Photoshop CS5. Check out the photos and thank you for looking!

My Outer Banks Safari. (HDR Edition)

Image
Picture from my weekend trip in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. I decide to do all my shots in HDR format because I was testing out a new heavy duty tripod that was giving to me as a gift from a long time friend. I traveled from Virginia Beach to the following location in North Carolina: Moyock, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, and Manteo. I used a Canon 60D with 17-40L Canon Prime Lense. NO FLASH. My camera was mounted on Manfrotto Tripod model 3030 with crank reel. Each HDR image has any where from 3-7 different exposed images that are combined to make one. I did more than 3 images so that I would have a wide range of tones, highlights, and shadows in my images. For post production I used Lightroom 3 and Photoshop CS5. Hope you enjoy and thank you for looking. Then and Now. (left) image shoot in 2009. (right) image shoot in 2014.

Congratulations to Scott & Amie Ditto. Newly Weds!

Image
This past Saturday I had the pleasure in assisting in photographing the newly wedded couple Scott & Amie Ditto on a beautiful beach located in Ocean View in Norfolk, Va. A small private wedding ceremony was preformed on the beach, following an intimate reception in an amazing backyard at a near by home in the Ocean View area. Not only did I capture the love that Scott and Amie shared for one another but I also captured the details of their wedding story as well. Please enjoy this small sample of  photos that I captured this past weekend.
